          Electronic Information Center

          The Walsh Library has four computer lab areas, which altogether contain more than 100 microcomputers. Rooms 044 and 047 can be reserved for presentations, training, and teaching. Please refer to 25Live for all reservations. Reservations for individual class teaching are restricted to five reservations per class per term. In addition, no reservations are taken during the last three weeks of the semester.

          The Quinn Library is located in the 140 W building at Lincoln Center, with an Instruction Classroom for library use (not available for reservations).

          The Westchester Library is on the ground floor of the Harrison Campus and has a small mixed-use lab.

          University Library Lab Facilities

          Walsh Library

          Room 108B on the 1st floor. This room contains 10 Apple I-Macs and 20 Windows computers all with Microsoft Office Professional, various web browsers, and other productivity software. Vended printing, including double-sided printing is available in this lab. This lab is part of the Library's extended hours area and will be open later than the other labs in the library.

          Room 044 in the EIC. This Windows based computer smart classroom contains: 1 presenter computer and 22 student computers with headphones, overhead projection and sound system, two vended network laser printers, Microsoft Office Professional, various web browsers, and other productivity software.

          Room 047 in the EIC. This Windows based computer lab contains: 1 presenter computer and 22 student computers with headphones, overhead projection and sound system, one vended network laser printer, Microsoft Office Professional, various web browsers, and other productivity software.

          Room 040 in the EIC. This open lab space features 35 Apple iMac computers and 14 Windows computers all with headphones, Microsoft Office, various web browsers and productivity software. Three I-Macs have Final Cut Pro video editing software. Vended printing is available in both sections of room 040. In addition color laser vended printing is also available. This area cannot be reserved.

          Quinn Library

          1st Floor (Learning Commons) features 3 Apple iMacs and 16 VDI Windows machines, 4 Windows PCs, all with Microsoft Office, various web browsers and productivity software. This floor is part of the Library’s Morning and Late Night Study Zones. These extended study zones are in effect during regularly scheduled months in the semester. Printing stations with 1 Color printer, 1 B&W printer, 2 B&W Canon printers that provide printing, scanning, and copying capabilities. There is also a free flatbed scanner\copier. There is an AVS machine to add value to your print cards. A self-checkout station is available for books.

          2nd Floor features 24 VDI Windows machines, 16 Windows PCs, all with Microsoft Office, various web browsers and productivity software. Vended printing options include 2 B&W Printers, a free-of-charge KIC Scanner, and an AVS machine to add value to your print cards.

          2nd Floor Instruction Classroom (Room 234) features 32 All In One PCs, all with Microsoft Office, various web browsers and productivity software. This room also features a printing station with 1 B&W Printer.

          Westchester Library

          Room G26 in Westchester Library. This smart class room has 21 Windows computers, all with Microsoft Office, various web browsers, and productivity software. Vended printing is available.

          Audiovisual Viewing Rooms

          The EIC on the ground floor of Walsh Library has 2 viewing rooms (rooms 041 and 050) which may be reserved for screenings and presentations. The rooms contain a ceiling mounted projector with stereo sound system and dimmable lighting. These rooms are equipped with a computer, a laptop connection, VHS, CD audio players, DVD, and cable television connection.

          Playback Stations

          Walsh Library: Room 040 in the EIC has 3 individual stations for playback of VHS videotapes. DVDs and compact discs can be played on all computers in the EIC. All computers in the EIC are equipped with headphones.

          Quinn Library: The 2nd floor of Quinn contains 2 stations for individual playback of VHS tapes. DVD and compact discs can be played on all computers.

          Flom Auditorium

          The Flom Auditorium can be reserved for a wide variety of instructional applications including computer and video presentations and lectures. The room seats 111 people and is equipped with a variety of technology including:

          • 6 speaker JBL surround sound
          • High resolution data/video projector
          • Built-in desktop computer
          • Laptop computer connection
          • VHS and DVD players
          • Audio cassette and compact disk playback
          • 24 microphone lines - audio sound reinforcement and recording
          • Document camera
          • 6 panel sliding white board
          • Podium based touch pad control of all devices
